Comment on How I made $5,728 dollars from renters insurance and why you should get renters insurance by Walter http://www.financephysician.com/2007/09/06/how-i-made-5728-dollars-from-renters-insurance-and-why-you-should-get-renters-insurance/#comment-7341 Walter Wed, 14 May 2008 18:09:52 +0000 http://www.financephysician.com/2007/09/06/how-i-made-5728-dollars-from-renters-insurance-and-why-you-should-get-renters-insurance/#comment-7341 If you have renters insurance don't make a claim against it unless it's huge. To actually use the product for which it was intended, like two small claims, will make you uninsurable. I know because I tried to get renters insurance for my new home and was denied because of my claims history ( two claims totalling less than $500). It would be better if they told you up front. That way they could make money by still insuring you and you are protected against a major loss). If you have renters insurance don’t make a claim against it unless it’s huge. Comment on When taking a home equity line of credit (HELOC) makes economical sense for medical residents by Angie http://www.financephysician.com/2008/01/31/when-taking-a-home-equity-line-of-credit-heloc-makes-economical-sense-for-medical-residents/#comment-7176 Angie Wed, 07 May 2008 17:56:21 +0000 http://www.financephysician.com/2008/01/31/when-taking-a-home-equity-line-of-credit-heloc-makes-economical-sense-for-medical-residents/#comment-7176 I think the most important step is to be realistic in what you can and cannot do. I’ve seen so many first time home buyers jump into something they cannot afford only because they have big dreams. Do your homework done first if you are thinking about taking out a loan or mortgage. The time spent looking into your options can save you a good deal of money later on. I think the most important step is to be realistic in what you can and cannot do. I mean, you had some insurance that you were going to be moving to Atlanta before you went through all of that effort? Because I would not want to lead myself through all of that work in different cities for Step 1, Step 2CS, AND Step 2CK just to find potential living quarters! =) Jerry www.leads4insurance.com You scheduled your Step 2CS exam after you had already matched then, right? I've also read on a new project, the Movers Watch that should run soon on that website and will be completely objective and will have reviews written in it from real people that would have to proove they actually used the services and the moving companies can respond to every complain. Hope to see it running soon. In the mean time I'd suggest ignoring MovingScam.com. I got these at the same time when I purchased my home in order to acoid PMI. The thing is, my LOC is at 8.25%. I noticed from your post that LOC's are now as low as 3%. Is there anyway to transfer my 8.25% LOC to a lower 3% much like what can be done with credit cards at high rates? Thanks I already have a HELOC in addition to my primary mortgage. Will a recruiter lead them to throw in malpractice insurance, or other perks that add up at the end of the day? There is really no reason to force travelers to cash in the retirement annuity just to check their email while traveling. (To add to the list, by the way, I noticed last month that WiFi was free in Budapest, Hungary airport.)
