On news today, it is mentioned that us taxpayers will be receiving 600 dollars if individuals and 1200 if a couple with obvious income limitations and income tax minimums. The proposal will go to the house and senate next week so we will see if this will happen. This economic stimulus package is intended to be spent to help boost the economy out of a slump. The timetable for release of funds should be around may to july of this year.
But does this plan encourage people to keep being in debt? In any case, it did help boost the stock market today. Maybe i’ll use it to buy a few shares of apple now that 1 share goes for 137 dollars. More than 60 dollars cheaper than its all time high.

I am completely baffled by the logic of this administration regarding what they think will lead to a healthy economy! Giving people a grand to spend however they want? The only thing that is insurance for is a short term surge in discretionary spending (Hostess Twinkies and an X-box, anyone?). In protest, my family will use the money to help pay our health insurance premiums for the coming year living overseas. That’ll show ‘em! (Or not.)
