It is an undeniable truth that the advent of cash advances has helped many people get out of precarious financial situations. I have seen first hand the inadequacies and the difficulty getting health care if you don’t have insurance. If we injure ourselves and are forced to make a trip to the emergency room or doctor, it is imperative that we take care of any fees that may come up that are associated with a medical emergency. There are usually ancillary costs associated with doctors’ visits such as prescription costs that can really add up. It is also possible that we need emergency dental work such as a root canal to relieve any pain in our mouth. These procedures are costly and sometimes very difficult to anticipate.

Rule number 1: make sure you have health insurance.
Rule number 2: make sure you have an emergency fund that is at least 2x your monthly income.
