I can’t stand dealing with computers on the telephone. All I want is some insurance that I can deal with an intelligent, living, breathing, human entity on the other end of the line who can help me with my issue, whatever it may be… I do not care if that person is in Iowa, Canada, India, Pakistan or friggin’ Timbuktu, as long as they speak English well, understand me when I talk, and have the ability to answer questions without referring to a script at every opportunity. Breaches to this code of expected conduct invariably lead to spikes in my blood pressure.
